The Opportunity:

AgriBank Farm Credit Services saw an opportunity to improve service to their members and reduce costs by creating and automating a common set of business processes to serve all members. The challenge would be to define business processes that would not adversely impact members operations yet provide a level of standardization to generate efficiency and cost savings.

The Approach:

Before the new system could be built, AgriBank FCS would need to understand the current business processes of their member associations, identify problem areas, and develop future state processes to meet member needs. Evantage’s work included:

Documenting the current state processes for all associations and identify areas for improvement.

Identifying standard and custom business practices shared by the associations.

Defining streamlined future state processes and the system requirements needed to support them.

A critical success factor was assuring that all member organizations had a shared understanding of the new processes. To achieve that goal, Evantage created an interactive visual depiction of one of the future systems. This enabled members to achieve faster alignment around business processes and help the associations as they outlined their own detailed requirements.

The Results:

Evantage’s interactive visual process was the basis for gaining rapid and shared understanding among the member organizations. This design and the visual process used to communicate it laid the foundation for the new system and fostered improved member relationships as well.
